Whew, what a week, both good and bad.
Good: Rachel and I got to have lunch together this week and talk
for a while.
Bad: Not enough time to work on some of my priority projects, but
at least I did make a little bit of progress. Mainly it was a
matter of getting a launch ready that had some challenges and
complications.
But in the end, while it wasn’t totally perfect, good enough was
good enough, and everybody seems to be happy.
Since I’m running behind this morning with this update, let’s go

Do you mind if I rant about one of my pet peeves?
If you do mind, just skip this section. 
I don’t mind honest refund requests, I really don’t. I like to say
“nothing is for everybody, and everything’s for someone”.
What I do mind is when someone, instead of asking for a refund like
a civil human being, puts in a dispute with PayPal, checks the box
that says something like “significantly not as described” and then
puts a comment in not saying what the problem is, only saying he
wants a refund.
Yesterday I had a buyer who bought Rachel’s birthday special and
both OTO’s do that. He made some false statements to PayPal, but I
let it roll off my back and didn’t fight the dispute, issuing the
3 refunds. That was last night.
This morning, I wake up and he’s sent me 3 emails blasting me for
the fact that he can’t download the files (Nanacast locks them
after a refund). He said that obviously we shouldn’t be Internet
marketers if we do that to customers.
A customer?????
I explain (not very nicely) that he said he wanted his money back,
I gave it back, and he’s still trying to download, which I consider
fraud and will report it as such to PayPal, as well as to the
affiliate that sent him to us.
So he replies that he “didn’t know” that I issued the refunds, and
he expected me to fight the dispute like other sellers do, rather
than refund (I guess he has a lot of experience disputing
purchases). He also said he didn’t like my “agressive tone” in the
email to him. I guess he didn’t like me accusing him of fraud. Boo hoo.
A true customer from hell.
I’m sure everyone reading this knows that a simple refund request
to the merchant is the proper way to conduct business, unless and
until that request is ignored. Getting 3 quick disputes inside
PayPal puts someone’s account at risk, and is not a way to win
friends and influence people.
In fact, it can be a way to destroy honest businesses.
So anyway, other than one or two customers like that yesterday,

it should be.
