Tick, tick, tick. Time goes by so quickly.
Next week sees the last month of 2011 begin. Yesterday a lot of us
gave thanks for all we have and have accomplished this year, and
now we start looking forward to what we want to accomplish next
year.
It’s a beautiful cycle, and I hope you’re better off at this time
this year than you were last year, and that you’ll continue to see
improvement in 2012.
I talk about incremental improvement often, and have written about
it, it’s a key part of my strategy.
I can remember when making a consistent 5 bucks a day recurring
income from a project was a dream. That dream was fulfilled and new
goals took its place. I’m starting to look forward to 2012 with a
lot of excitement not only for business goals, but for personal
reasons.
I’m especially reminded of that today when I think back a year ago,
when my son and his wife were becoming frustrated with the fact
that they were childless. A year from now that beautiful baby girl
that was born this month will be walking, talking, continuing to
grow.
Incremental progress.
Let’s all grow with her, and accomplish great things between now
and next Thanksgiving.
I know, there are plenty of excuses to fail. The economy,
competition, violence in the world, things change so quickly…
Heck, I still don’t have a smart phone, but still, I can overcome
that. Lacking something doesn’t mean you can’t succeed, after all.
We, as Internet marketers, have opportunities that don’t exist to
most of the population because we truly “get it”, or are on the
road to get it, and the further we go down that road, the easier it
becomes to believe that in our entrepreneurial hands and minds is
the key to independence.
I had a job once, long, long ago, where I worked for a weekly
paycheck.
And even after that, as an independent consultant, I traded my
hours for dollars. If I didn’t work, I didn’t get paid.
Those days are gone forever for me. I realize that this type of
self sufficiency isn’t for everyone, but still, I personally
wouldn’t have it any other way.
