Happy holidays to all, I hope you’re able to relax this weekend at
the very least, and share the love with family and friends.
And, I hope you consider us at Earn1KaDay to be family as well, I
know I do, and am truly appreciative of all the support given us on
a daily basis. It truly makes what I do fun and fulfilling.
I was talking by email with Rachel yesterday listing all the things
that have been going on in my life lately that cause me stress (she
has a list as well, and I’m sure you do also), and though I
sometimes thrive on stress, that doesn’t mean it’s always good.
My list was pretty darn long, and I have to shorten it, so that I
can add more important things to the list. 
My goal for the next couple weeks are to remove some of the silly
stress points, which includes a tremendously messy desk and
disorganized work area. I know full well that I function much
better in a clutter free environment, but I also have this habit of
putting off things that aren’t as essential as others, and that
includes catching up on important reading, filing, and keeping my
desk clean, and long story short, I have layers of papers all over
my desk.
It doesn’t seem like much of a goal actually, but it could make a
tremendous difference in not only my productivity but also my daily
mood, which is especially important this time of the year when
sunlight is at a minimum.
Another stress point is my recent decision to buy a condo for a
vacation place. We made an offer last week, it was accepted this
week (at a great price, which I wrote about in the saga thread (in
the Personal Challenges section)), and yesterday I started paperwork
to get a mortgage.
My wife has agreed that one of the things that we have to do in the
limited space of the condo is to figure out how to set up a work
area for me, so that I can conduct business while we’re there,
unlike when we’ve been going away and staying in a hotel room.
Stress is a killer of not only productivity but health and relationships,
and I have to get mine under control. How about you?
