Count down to the Super Bowl, the big game is on Sunday. My team
isn’t playing yet again, but it’s always a good excuse for a little
party, so I’ll do that.
Besides, the commercials are usually pretty cool, I understand they
cost around 3.5 million for 30 seconds. That’s a little out of my
price range, so don’t bother looking for us.
I understand the official groundhog saw his shadow yesterday, so
that means 6 more weeks of winter. I did hear that other groundhogs
did not see theirs, so I hope you’re in an area that’s getting the
nicer weather quicker.

I’m scared to death…
Last week I ran a survey asking if you would be interested in
following a case study about taking a book from conception to best
seller status on Kindle and Createspace.
I really expected that most would like the idea, of course, but so
many, and so vast a majority… wow!
So I’m going to do it.
I have a book almost done, I’ll recreate what I did to get it to
this point, and then you’ll see me publish it, use all the tricks
I’ve learned from all the Kindle and other courses on the market,
plus all the things that I’ve learned from watching Rachel’s
publishing (there’s definitely been some learning experiences
there, but she’s been bringing in over 2K a month for a few months
now).
There’s a lot of things that Rachel hasn’t even tried yet, we don’t
really want to risk upsetting a gravy train, so this case study will
be a great chance to test out new tactics.
You’ll see it all as it happens.
My goal is to make the book a best seller making at least 2K a
month also, really I’m hoping for 5K or more, but here’s what I’m
scared of.
It could bomb. It could be the wrong niche. Any number of things
could doom it to failure.
But since I teach failure is my friend, I’ll do the best I can, in
full view, over the course of several weeks or months, however long
it takes, and we’ll all learn from the success, or failure.
I expect success, of course.
Why should I do this instead of just following the numerous courses
out there?
Well, here’s the deal. Most of them teach how to publish crap in
quantity and make from $20 to $100 a month on average per book.
What they teach is good to a point, but in their haste to get more
and more books on Amazon, they sacrifice some things.
I’d rather do one good book that I can be proud of to make $4000
than do 200 pieces of garbage that make $20 each. Same $4,000 at
the end of the month, but I’d rather spend a little time on 1 book
than a whole lot of time on 200.
And maybe people doing books in bulk will eventually see them all
slapped at once, ruining each and every one of those 200 little
income streams overnight. Who knows?
I’ll bet on quality over quantity.
Like in the old days when people would mass produce crappy made for
Adsense sites, hoping to make a dollar a month each. What happened
to those sites, by the way? 
I know, I’ll be putting all my eggs in one basket, but let’s see
how it goes.
One of my mentors advised that I should put a $97 price tag on this
case study, but Earn1KaDay members aren’t going to pay anywhere
near that.
While I will be charging admission to others, you’re not going to
pay anything, since you’re a member here. Look for an announcement

So my question is, since this is sponsored by Google, at least
insomuch as it’s a video on YouTube, why isn’t the FTC cracking
down on this type of advertising? If this were our pages, wouldn’t
we have to say something about what typical results are, not just
show “testimonials”, which these are, from a handful of people out
of many 100′s of millions of people?
After all, I can’t believe that NOBODY uses the Yellow Pages, while
this ad seems to indicate that they don’t.
