Last week was utterly amazing, and exhausting.
If you’re following the Kindle Case Study, you know about the fact
that I had gotten all stressed out, which led to a not uncommon
(for me) eye condition shortly before I had to go to the Warrior
Event in Raleigh.
That cleared up on schedule, but the other thing that extra stress
does to me, and many people, is it lowers their resistance, and I
noticed the beginning symptoms of a cold (sore throat, which for me
usually is the worst part, because I tend to lose my voice).
That in itself isn’t so bad, according to my wife, but when you’re
supposed to give a presentation, it’s not so good.
Fortunately I was able to mostly make it thanks to lots of zinc
tablets, lozenges, and some cold medicine, and the presentation
went well, I thought.
The event was amazing for networking, so many people to talk to, so
little time. Rachel and I went down a day early (Thursday) so we
could spend some time together before the madness happened Friday
evening, and it’s a good thing we did, because we had virtually no
time together the rest of the week.
So anyway, I’m back, am almost caught up on things, and we
definitely made some solid connections and business plans that
should be exciting.
On a personal note, my granddaughter’s christening is on Sunday,
so there’s going to be a big family celebration for that. It’s hard
to believe she’s over 4 months old already.
