Happy Friday and good morning.
I do really think that we are seeing the
light at the end of the pandemic’s tunnel.
Not that it’s gone by any stretch, but the
financial markets have rebounded hugely,
professional sports teams are planning to
start playing again, most states in the
U.S. are starting to reopen cautiously,
and I read yesterday that potentially
2 billion doses of a vaccine might be
available by September.
Meanwhile there are other problems that
are dominating the news, and maybe this
time something will be done. One can
only hope, and cynics will scoff at that,
but one can hope.
My own problem seems insignificant. The
other driver’s insurance company said that
they feel I was 25% at fault in my accident.
My company says absolutely 0%, and the police
report says the same, so I’ll let them battle
it out in court if they have to. I just have
to wait for them to reimburse me for the
total damages.
Let them battle it out. Fortunately due to
online marketing income streams, I can afford
to wait. I could have caved and taken the
75% reimbursement, but that seemed so wrong.
The accident taught me a good lesson. Life
is short, and tomorrow is not guaranteed.
For those who say “it won’t happen to me”,
it can.
Usually you get lucky and get tomorrow,
but it’s not guaranteed, and who knows
about the day after that?
So be fully productive today. Be in control
of what you can control, do your best, and
never forget the things that really matter,
such as your family and other loved ones.
Most importantly, don’t procrastinate on
the things that matter.
Your business is indeed important, because
it helps you take care of yourself and your
family, but it isn’t everything.
Meanwhile, stay safe and smile.
