Good morning.
It’s Black Friday. That means we’re now in
the official beginnings of the year’s
holiday season.
I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving
yesterday, whether you officially celebrate
it or not in your locale.
As usual I ate too much, but I’m alive
and well and working and thankful for that.
Does this holiday season seem different
to you at all?
Personal note… I get recurring nightmares
quite often where I still have my retail
store and people are trying to shoplift or
some other bad part of that experience.
I wake up from these vivid dreams and am
so grateful that I don’t have to go through
that anymore, and that I can do what I do
from the comfort of my home, even though
I work most of the time from a small office,
just so I can separate business from home
life.
Those recurring nightmares replaced my
earlier ones where I was back in school,
unprepared for a test and panicking.
I wonder if sometime soon my retail store
ones will be replaced by memories of the
year 2020 with the masks and the paper
shortages and the shutdowns and the
inability to go to restaurants and theaters
and all that.
Because at some point this too shall pass,
just like my retail store career and my
schooling did.
None too soon.
