Good morning.
Summer has officially arrived, how
are you handling it so far?
It’s a bit different for me this
year, after 10 years of spending
about half my weekends at the
Jersey Shore.
But that part of my life is over,
and that’s OK. I’m excited to see
what the next part of my life
brings for excitement, now that
I’m past middle age.
Changing the subject…
What do you think? Are we in a
recession? Or nearing one?
It’s funny. I couldn’t remember
prior ones, so I did a little
research yesterday, and wow…
The last one was only 2 years
ago, and it was nearly as bad
as the “Great Depression” early
in the last century.
During the 2020 recession, which
was obviously caused by the
pandemic and businesses having
to close down for safety reasons,
the government here tried to
hasten recovery by printing mega
tons of money and giving it away.
And encouraging people not to
work by giving them more money.
I predicted inflation, which is
here, so now what?
So why couldn’t I remember that
we were in a recession just two
years ago?
It wasn’t because of bad short
term memory, which I could
accept, but in this case it was
because I chose not to participate
in that event.
Thus, for me, and hopefully for
you, we can stay afloat through
our online businesses.
